Capstone Project - 2 Rooms Down

It's been over a week since my last post, and during that time I've been spending nearly all of my free time hammering away at this project. At the time of my last post, I had finally gotten a hold of the Blueprint system and the ideas I had for the project were falling into place. With things becoming more tangible, it's given me the drive to power through some serious progress. Room 2 (of 3) is done, and Room 1 has been given a new, more effective beginning that will serve as a proper introduction to the game's handful of mechanics. I'm currently working on Room 3, however final puzzle (the circular, pinball-like one) has been scrapped. Now that I've been playing around in what I have so far, the game feels best when I'm running around and moving pieces of the environment while interacting with the ball. Having players stand still while doing that final puzzle would be really static, and almost like you were playing a game within a game. Not fun.

I'd love to post a punch of new images of my progress, but honestly I'm making such quick progress that I don't want to stop this train for a minute to stop and capture all of those things. I have a milestone next Friday, so I'd like to have a nice meaty update by then. For now, I'm going to continue working on Room 3 and testing new ideas for the final puzzle.
